Dr. Ramirez-Aguilera is originally from Oregon but has been working in the field of audiology for the last several years in California, where she studied for her doctorate in audiology. Dr. Ramirez-Aguilera earned her Doctor of Audiology from University of the Pacific, and her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Portland State University. She completed an externship in pediatric audiology at USC Caruso Family Center in Los Angeles and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Ramirez-Aguilera discovered the field of audiology while taking American Sign Language (ASL) as an undergraduate student. She was immediately interested in a profession where she could potentially work with people of varying abilities, backgrounds and ages. She is fluent in Spanish and studied ASL for three years. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts and nature walks.
