Dr. Ngouajio grew up in Cameroon and Michigan. She earned a degree in microbiology from Michigan State University. Dr. Ngouajio obtained her medical degree from Indiana University. She completed her training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Iowa, where she was elected department chief resident during her final year.
Dr. Ngouajio has diverse research experience. She completed a one-year research fellowship focused on microbiology at the Food and Drug Administration prior to medical school. During her residency, she completed a two-year National Institute of Health-sponsored research fellowship focused on head and neck cancer biology. Dr. Ngouajio has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented her work at national conferences and received research awards.
Dr. Ngouajio strives to provide the best and most compassionate care to her patients. She is trained in comprehensive otolaryngology and treats a broad range of conditions, including, but not limited to, head and neck oncology, otology, sinonasal diseases, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland conditions and INSPIRE hypoglossal nerve stimulator implants. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, discovering different cuisines and traveling.
